Takemichi, a 26-year-old character in Tokyo Revengers, is unsatisfied with his life. He finds out one day that the Tokyo Manji gang murdered Hinata, his high school girlfriend. She was the only person he ever loved, so this upsets him.
Takemichi is shoved as he waits for a train and somehow manages to travel back in time to when he was in high school, 12 years ago. He makes the decision to try and change the future by saving Hinata’s life. He must become a member of the Tokyo Manji gang in order to stop them from killing her.
Takemichi finds new friends, reconnects with old ones, and gains knowledge about the gang culture along the way. He also learns that it’s harder than he believed to change the future. The story follows Takemichi’s efforts to save Hinata and improve his own situation.
